Merry Christmas you lovely people!!

So this is my very first ever blog entry, and I'm afraid it will quite probably be very boring but that's that. If I am right and you are bored to tears, you can always choose not to read!

Today is one of my favorite days of the year - actually the whole 48 hour period of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is full of church and singing and staying up late with family. Last night I sang in the choir at our candlelight service. It was earlier this year than ever before. In years past it was at 11:00 pm and ended at midnight, thus at the end of the service we were all together at the start of Christmas Day. This year it was at 9:00. I was pretty bummed about that because I really loved the idea of us all being together at the start of Christmas Day, but I have to admit that it was very nice being home so much earlier. Then we returned home and opened presents. This year it was just mom and dad and I, which was very cozy and relaxed and fun. Then home for a little sleep, to wake up this morning and return to mom and dad's for our Christmas meal. I am sitting here anxiously awaiting as dad finishes carving the turkey. Man, I tell you this place smeels heavenly. It reminds me of all the past holidays, and makes me miss my Grandma B. I wish she was here with us today so I could hug her and tell her I love her, but I know that she is with us in spirit and I know she knows I love her. Soon I will be gorging myself on stuffing and gravy, which is of course the best part of any holiday meal. Then we will have pecan pie and whipped cream and ice cream and milk, and then it will be quite necessary to take a nap. Then I will be visiting a couple of friends, exchanging gifts and just relaxing the day away. I decided to take a vacation day tomorrow, so I can laze around today and still have tomorrow to recoup from all the food I am going to eat today.

I hope all of you are doing all your favorite things today too. I hope that the season has been fun and peaceful and full of joy fhis year. My love to you all.
